Dun-Rite Property Services is committed to providing the most accurate radon testing available by using the best equipment available. We follow all IEMA state protocols and take additional steps to ensure the integrity of the test.
We take these additional steps to protect everyone's interest by:
- using "high efficiency" calibrated equipment
- using equipment that has a built in check-source to verify proper operation prior to test
- where possible, using tamper tape on floors where monitors are located to remind home owners or occupants to keep windows closed during the test
- placing notifications that a test is in progress at all entrance and exit doors, on the thermostat and on any fireplaces
- using non-interference agreements with the occupant or home owner
- providing a detailed report showing the radon average over the duration of the test, radon average by hour, time, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and we also include a sketch of where the monitor(s) is(are) located
We also monitor the local weather to verify that severe weather did not play a role in skewing the test results.

We monitor radon, temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. We also monitor the power and tilt of our devices. When possible, we use anti-tamper tape on all windows of the floor where the monitor is placed. We use a certified external lab to review the test results before a report is issued.
